Diana grew up in Costa Mesa, CA, where she excelled as a track star in high school, eventually becoming a hurdler at UNLV. She returned to Orange County to pursue a career in property management, which led her to a brief adventure in Chicago. But Southern California was always home, and she found her way back just in time to meet Alex.

Alex was born and raised just outside of Chicago but made the move to Southern California before high school. He dedicated himself to his studies, first at UCLA and later at UNLV for Dental School. Once he completed his dental training, he also made his way back to Southern California, where his path crossed with Diana’s.

Between Chicago, Las Vegas, and Southern California, their paths had always been intertwined. But they had yet to meet.

Their paths finally collided during the height of the COVID pandemic. And they navigated the early stages of their relationship with all the challenges that came with it. Despite the restrictions, they quickly became inseparable, spending as much time together as possible.

They did things like whale watching (where Alex first knew he loved Diana), survived a snow storm in Texas (where they first told each other "I love you"), and spent weekends out at the wineries (where Diana got to know Alex's family). They would carve out time each week to meet at what became their halfway point, a small Mexican restaurant where the 241 meets the 91. Even after these dinners, they'd sit in the car and watch the Great British Baking Show, spending as much time together as possible.

Before long, they decided to move in together at their “halfway point” in Corona, CA. That apartment became the backdrop for countless memories as they truly got to know one another over the course of a year. Alex introduced Diana to his love for UCLA, Stagecoach music festival, and Breweries. Diana taught him the basics of cooking, the art of thinking about doing something and then doing it! ( hello, adult sports leagues), and how to dominate carnival games at the OC Fair.

Their next big step was buying a house together in Canyon Lake, CA, where they now live with their dog, Mills. They began traveling the world together: from Cabo to Paris to Rome. They saw all their favorite musical artists: Taylor Swift, Beyonce, Sam Smith, and Olivia Rodrigo. And they learned how to cook together: hosting pasta nights, making Salvadorian classics, and experimenting with any new recipe that piqued their interests. This big new house quickly turned into their first little home.

It all led to their engagement, where Alex surprised Diana with a picnic at the beach they had gone to on their 1st and 3rd dates. Instead of having beers at Mutt Lynch's, it was champagne on a blanket in the sand. Lucky for Alex, Diana was over the moon when she said "Yes!". Calls to family quickly went out, and celebrations were under way!

Their journey has been full of twists, turns, and plenty of love, and they can’t wait to start this next chapter as husband and wife!

And of course, while these big milestones have shaped our journey, it’s been all the little moments in between that have truly made our story what it is. The countless date nights that turned into breakfast mornings, trips to the casino where fingers were always crossed for good luck, and the spontaneous road trips where our playlists would inevitably turn into full-blown concerts.

There were the lazy Sundays with Mills curled up on the couch, the “couldn’t-wait” Christmases where we opened one present early.. maybe right after Thanksgiving dinner, and the times we learned that assembling Amazon furniture is truly the ultimate test of love and patience. And let’s not forget the cooking fails, or the late-night grocery door dashes because, apparently, we couldn’t live without ice cream.

So, we’d like to share some of these ‘honorable mention’ moments—the unfiltered snapshots of our day-to-day life that capture the essence of us. The little glances, shared laughs, and quiet adventures that remind us why we’re here today. After all, it’s these moments that keep the love growing and the story unfolding, one memory at a time.
