Aka Vanessa has been my partner in all things weird and wonderful since day one. From the days of her translating my secret language to when I tried to lock her in a fridge (oops), she’s always been there. Logical, cautious Grace, the one who watches while I leap out of trees thinking I can fly, then helps me up as I cry and softly says, "I told you so." Mom was right: I can’t live with her, can’t live without her, but there’s no one else I want by my side.

We met our freshman year at UCLA, and bonded over our love of Basketball and Board Games. We spent 4 years running amok on campus and have been inseparable ever since! We’ve traveled across the world, spent countless hours tailgating, days at the beach, and plenty of time recovering from hangovers together. He’s a brother to me, and I’m honored to have him as my best man through it all.

My youngest brother. Growing up, he’d always let me practice all my wrestling moves on him without complaint. As we’ve grown older, he’s slowly tried to mimic me: Finished top of his class at Vista, went to UCLA and joined the same fraternity as me, and now he’s also dating a girl named Diana… He must really look up to me! Glad to have him by my side.

My middle brother. Chris and I grew up sharing our love of video games together. We’d always argue about whose turn it was to play World of Warcraft, and when it wasn’t my turn, I was watching and learning from him. Now-a-days these battles are about Wingspan, if we watch sports or Ru Paul’s Drag Race, and what we’re drinking over the holidays! No matter how much we may be different, I know he’ll always be there for me.

From pinching pennies and ordering kids meals so we could spend more on fun, to finally graduating to adult meals, Brianna has been my ride or die through the crazy 20s. We were dubbed the “Bell Terra Babes” at work, and we lived up to it—babysitting motorcycles in apartments, running into Forever 21 to grab something cute before hitting the club. No one else could turn bonfire beach nights into therapy sessions about life, future husbands, and what we’d conquer next. We’ve grown up together, and now I couldn’t imagine this day without my Bella Babe by my side.

The third sister we never knew we had, from my sister’s best friend to my own. Jamie’s been caught in the middle of sisterly arguments and laughter since middle school, rocking her Paul Frank gear and serving us black-cat attitude. She’s the foodie who picks the best restaurants but doesn’t share food—try and take a shrimp off her plate, and you’re dead to her. Her love language might be receiving gifts, but Jamie’s also given me a lifetime of memories, laughter, and knowing I can count on her.

My high school football friend, eternal benchwarmer, and former roommate from hell (kidding… kinda). He may have been the world’s okayest roommate, but as a friend, he’s unbeatable. He’ll win you over with his goofy personality, epic dance moves and pure love for his dog, Drake. Josh was the first to know about Alex, and I remember his advice well: “Don’t bring anyone home if they aren't serious.” Alex was not allowed in the apartment for three weeks. Also, he took a shrimp off of Jamie's plate.

We were introduced by our Mom’s before UCLA! ( Awwww) We may have come from rival High Schools, but we turned into best friends. We share our love of sports, and our hatred of USC. He’s who I turn to when my fantasy football team is getting destroyed on a Sunday afternoon, or if I need someone to gamble with late into a Vegas night.

My ride or die since we met our sophomore year in AP Euro! We spent high school jamming out to Taylor Swift, mobbing around town in her Buick, and relaxing with beach bonfires. Now we may live a little farther apart, but she always knows I’ll make time for her when she’s back in town. I’m so happy to get to call you one of my best friends for nearly 20 years now.

My baby cousin who was never allowed to play in the mud (but secretly wanted to), Franshesca was always the delicate one with the best birthday parties and those incredible ice cream cakes. Now, as adults, we’ve grown closer, sharing the journey of becoming wives. But we’ll always have those Christmases with Grandma tricking us by putting clothes in cereal boxes.

Kaylin, my wild, free spirit, the little sister I never wanted, and I'm the big sister she didn't ask for (her words, not mine!). From shopping sprees to jumping at Sky Zone with the five-year-olds, to commemorating our trampoline burns with ear piercings. She speaks my language (aka TikTok sounds and endless one-liners), and she’s always up for an adventure, whether it’s sneaking tequila into Disneyland or sneaking in life advice when I least expect it. Kaylin and I have a strong bond and a sisterhood I truly cherish.

AKA the original Diana. She might claim to be the original Diana, as she and Ben started dating a couple of months before us, but in my book, she’s the sequel that’s even better than the original. Dating one of the Pollock boys requires a mix of brains, beauty, and the ability to keep up with some serious fun and Diana checks all the boxes.She fuels my fire, keeps up with all my wild ideas, and all she needs is a piña colada, and she’s ready to party. She’s your ultimate hype queen, and Alex approves because she’s a Swiftie.

Part of the original Hedrick 5N crew at UCLA, Joey has always been the one to look to when I need a laugh. He may be up catching birds in the Bay now, but he’s always down for an adventure. He may be shy at first, but by the end of the night he’ll be cutting up the dance floor!

The original queen of confidence and the cousin who bossed me around like it was her job when we were kids, and loved every second of it. She was always the cool older cousin. If you think I’m confident, you haven’t met Cindy. She’s a force to be reckoned with, and she’s been that way since day one. I always looked up to her (literally and figuratively).

He’s the Archon to my Vice Archon. Jon and I really got to know each other during our Sophomore year as roommates, and went on to rule over Pi Kapp (our fraternity at UCLA). He’s who I turn to when I need someone to do outdoorsy things that I don’t want to, or fix just about anything that I may or may not have broken.

My oldest and dearest friend. We’ve been through everything together, from the awkwardness of middle school/HS, to running track, to all the big life changes that followed. During long-distance practice, she taught me the ultimate running hack: run just far enough to hit Carl’s Jr., eat, and then run back like we did the whole thing. Mariah is always just a phone call away, no matter how many states separate us. I can’t imagine this day without her by my side, as she’s been by my side for so many other important moments.
